Quabbin Mediation requires all mediators to have completed our 30-hour Basic Mediation Training and our 6-hour Ethics Training or their equivalents. Advanced training—which Quabbin Mediation offers periodically—is required to mediate certain types of disputes such as divorce, mediation with inmates, child custody, etc. Our mediators are mentored by Quabbin Mediation staff on an ongoing basis.

Quabbin Mediation pays its mediators a stipend for any mediation work done outside a court setting. That stipend is typically 1/3 or 1/2 of the fees collected from parties.
